Once the store owner and I started working together, I realized the owner needed to focus on her target market. We completed a business map, identified her competition as well as her ideal customer, and talked about how she wanted customers to view her business.

Using the information from the business map, I wrote content for e-blasts, a local small business newsletter, event posters, and handouts.

Event Planning

To attract foot traffic, the owner and I collaborated to plan multiple events including quarterly tea parties. The tea parties included not only tea and treats, but a "dress the mannequin" contest where attendees could use the clothing in the shop to dress a mannequin. We took pictures of the outfits and used them as a social media campaign. The most liked outfit won movie tickets to the local theater and was featured in the storefront window display.

Learning & Development

Throughout the process of developing and implementing the marketing strategy for Revive, I taught the owner simplified marketing concepts and strategy so that she could continue the marketing strategy we created. A three-ring binder of invaluable information was developed so she could consult it for both ideas and see her progress.
