What to expect when dropping off your sewing machine
Intake
Bring your sewing machine, foot pedal, power cord, bobbin case (if needed), and zigzag presser foot to the event location at the time of your appointment. Phoenix will collect your contact information and ask questions about any issues you may be experiencing with your sewing machine. You’ll be given a service agreement to sign, and Phoenix will photograph your machine to document its condition. A ticket with your name will be gently tied to your sewing machine, and you’ll be given a receipt.
Service
Phoenix will transport all sewing machines from the event to her shop in South Minneapolis. There, she will professionally tune up the machines, clean the machine's interior of lint and old lubricant, and apply new lubricant. A test sew will be performed with a new needle both before and after service.
Once service is complete, an email will be sent that includes the total payment due and the pick-up dates and times. If further service is needed, an email request for approval will be sent with clear and concise options.
Pickup
Come to the event location where you dropped off your sewing machine, and give Phoenix your receipt. Payments can be made by cash, check, credit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Once payment is made, your sewing machine will be handed over to you to take home.
Beware: Your happy sewing machine may operate a little differently after a week at camp! It is often noted that the foot pedal is more sensitive, and the sewing machine may stitch faster.
